A New Perspective on Clarity

I don't know how many of you have noticed, but I have fairly thick eyeglasses. I have been wearing eyeglasses since I was in the second grade.
As I have gotten older, I have found that I need a little help. It really became apparent during my devotional times of reading and studying the Bible. Although I have multiple bibles, one of which is a large print version, which I love, the other versions that have the commentary and the notes you really need to help with understanding are the really small print.
What did I do? I went on my favorite website...Amazon! (As a side note, if you ever want to give me a gift, give me an Amazon gift card.) I went to Amazon and decided to order what my grandparents used to have...a magnifying glass.
I never thought I would see the day, but here I am.
Initially, I bought these plastic sheets of magnifying glasses. I tried them and they were not good. They were flimsy. The clarity was not good and the images were blurry. Leveraging the benefit of Amazon Prime's free returns, I sent it back and I decided to order a true magnifying glass...with lights!
Why am I talking to you about magnifying glasses? Because there is no sense in struggling when you have tools available to help you. Struggling usually leads to quitting because it's too hard.
When we can't see well and we don't have clarity about where we're going, we tend not to move at all. That's a problem!
Do you recognize that we have more control over clarity than we give ourselves credit for?
At the beginning of 2020, every pastor's sermon was around vision and clarity. We are always always asking for it. But here's the thing. If we just take the time to look, we will see that there are tools readily available to help us keep moving forward.
